In the fourth quarter of 2022, several beauty retail applications on the iOS platform in Africa showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how the top five apps performed:

bath&body works experienced notable fluctuations in its weekly downloads, peaking at 3.2K in the week of October 31. Despite the spike, downloads trended downwards towards the end of the quarter, finishing with 951 in the week of December 26. Active users saw a significant surge mid-quarter, rising from 4.2K at the start to 7.3K by the end of October, but slightly declined to 4.9K by the last week of December.

Feel22-Your Beauty, Your Terms showed a steady increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at 709 in the week of November 7. However, downloads dropped significantly towards the end of the quarter, reaching just 111 in the last week of December.

Mazaya Stores had a relatively stable download trend throughout the quarter. The app saw a peak of 528 downloads in the week of November 21, but numbers tapered off to 205 by the end of December.

EVA Cosmetics experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 636 in the week of December 19. The app started the quarter with 216 downloads and ended with 192.

FACES Beauty – فيسز maintained a consistent number of active users, starting at 1.1K and peaking at 1.5K in the week of November 21. Downloads for this app fluctuated, with a high of 367 in the same week, before dropping to 55 by the end of December.
